J3D Vision and Inspection Measurement Systems was founded in 2016 by four members of the Advanced Manufacturing and Metrology Engineering Group (GIFMA), part of the Research Institute in Engineering of Aragon (I3A). First in-line inspection system for Opel
Our first system was installed at the Opel production plant in Zaragoza, Spain, marking a milestone as the first in-line inspection system capable of evaluating car bodies in motion, without:
- Interrupting production
- Modifying the assembly line la línea de montaje
- Removing car bodies from the production flow
The system adapts to variable speeds, operating up to 150 vehicles per hour (jph) and scalable to higher rates.
It performs full-body inspection, including edges, characteristic lines, and style lines, achieving 100% in-line coverage in these areas.
